About Our Program
About A.M.I.E
A.M.I.E are a travel education program dedicated to providing premed and medical students with an immersive learning experience in Africa. Our mission is to bridge the gap between Western medical education and African healthcare practices by offering students the opportunity to shadow experienced doctors, explore tropical diseases, and gain insight into traditional healing methods.
Beyond medicine, we believe in cultural exchange and global impact. Through our program, students not only enhance their medical knowledge but also develop a deeper understanding of African communities, healthcare challenges, and cultural perspectives on medicine.

OUR PROGRAMS
👩⚕️ 1. U.S. Pre-med & Medical Students
Students from the U.S. shadow top African doctors and gain hands‑on clinical experience in rural and resource‑limited settings. They learn about illnesses rare in the U.S., deepen their cultural understanding, and build a global medical network while exploring African heritage.
🌍 2. International Pre-med & Medical Students (Non‑U.S.)
International students experience clinical shadowing with leading African physicians, participate in rural health and public health initiatives, and gain valuable insights into African medical practice. This program deepens cultural competence and fosters connections across borders.
🌱 3. Africa‑Based Pre-med, Medical & Nursing Students (Cultural Enrichment Program)
Through seminars, collaborative projects, and global mentorship, African students build long‑term connections with doctors and medical professionals beyond Ghana. The program also provides support for international medical and nursing exams (MCAT, USMLE, PLAB, NCLEX), fostering cross‑cultural learning, knowledge sharing, and professional growth.
